PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detector capable of simply performing inspection work by a dry contact ultrasonic flaw detection method, enabling the ultrasonic flaw detection of a sample, without bringing the sample into contact with a liquid medium and capable of enhancing work efficiency. SOLUTION: A sample 5 is placed on the almost central part between two sheets of polymer films 16 each of which has an area larger than the surface area of the sample 5, and the polymer films 16 are laminated to be brought into close contact with the upper and under surfaces of the sample 5 to seal the sample 5. The sample 5 is placed on the support stand 20, arranged on the base of a water tank 6 to be fixed on the support stand 20, in a freely detachable manner by the non-close contact surfaces 23 with the sample 5 of the polymer films 16.
