PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which maintains proper drying conditions. SOLUTION: The numbers of revolutions in a plurality of stages are set in a blower fan (92), and the number of the revolutions is selected depending on an average printing ratio of a recording image. The number of driving pulses per five main scanning lines is counted when an image recording operation is started, and the average printing ratio within the five lines is computed. The average printing ratios are classified into three stages of less than 50%, 50-100% and more than 100%. When the smallest number of the revolutions (low voltage) is adopted when the average printing ratio is less 50%; the second-smallest number of the revolutions is adopted when the average printing ratio is in the range of 50-100%; and the largest number of the revolutions (high voltage) is adopted when the average printing ratio is more than 100%.
