IC CARD MODULE

An IC card module (1) includes a controller chip (2) for performing data processing and a rewritable first nonvolatile memory (3) accessed by the controller chip. The controller chip has an IC card interface unit (5) which can be interfaced with outside, a USB interface unit (6) which can be interfaced with outside, and a storage area (13) for password information. When a predetermined data processing is performed via the IC card interface unit or the USB interface unit, authentication is required. Judgment of establishment of the authentication is performed by using the password information in the storage area when using the IC card interface unit or the USB interface unit. Thus, it is possible to perform interface with a terminal and a PC without taking out the IC card module from the terminal or without lowering the security.
