<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus capable of effectively removing toner and sticking materials on a photoreceptor, maintaining the cleaning performance over a long period, and preventing photoreceptor-filming. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the cleaning apparatus, as shown in Fig. a contact part of the photoreceptor 101 with a spring pressure system cleaning blade 109 is made variable by using a cam mechanism. The contact of the blade base layer 109a at the blade tip part with the photoreceptor 101 and the contact of a polishing-agent particle containing layer 109b of the middle side part with the photoreceptor 101 are switchable, and then, the sticking materials which cannot be removed by cleaning are polished and removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
