<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide light-emitting diodes with which an illumination effect with flat expanse by a small number of them by expanding the outgoing angle of light toward the top surface of a translucent sealing resin for sealing a light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting diode 21 is provided with a circuit board 22 where an anode electrode 23a and a cathode electrode 23b are formed, the light emitting element 24 mounted on the circuit board 22, and the translucent sealing resin 26 for sealing the upper side of the light emitting element 24. At the top surface of the sealing resin 26, a linear groove 30 passing through over the light emitting element 24 is formed, and a light diffusion member 31 consisting of a translucent resin with a white pigment mixed therein is provided in the groove 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
