PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polyurethane foam having not only excellent heat-insulating properties but also excellent heat resistance and flame retardancy; and to provide a method for producing the polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polyurethane foam comprises a polyurethane foam formed by a polycondensation reaction of a polyol solution containing a biodegradable material in a dissolved state, having at least two hydroxy groups in the molecule, with a mixture containing a polyisocyanate and an inorganic filler in the presence of water, and containing the inorganic filler. The content of the inorganic filler is≥35 wt.% in the polyurethane foam, and the density of the polyurethane foam is≤0.8 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
