摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing episulfide based plastic lens, suppressing optical distortion, breakage, chipping and contributing to improvement of yield in producing optical materials in the fields having high refractive index and high Abbe's number such as a spectacle lens, etc. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for preparation of optical materials comprising episulfide based sulfur atom containing resin, having following 1-3 processes. Process 1; A process substantially eliminating flowability of a polymerizable composition containing a compound having at least one episulfide group, at≤40°C. Process 2; A process polymerizing and hardening the polymerizable composition which lost its flowability, at≥40°C.
