PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of providing the most suitable air conditioning for individual occupants. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle controls an air conditioning unit 3 with an air conditioning control device 2 to perform the air conditioning of the inside of the cabin for the vehicle. The air conditioning unit 3 supplies the air-conditioned air into the cabin from a plurality of nozzles including the nozzle for the occupants to blast out the air-conditioned air to a plurality of portions of the individual occupants. A room temperature sensor 51 detects the temperature at a plurality of different heights every existing area of the individual occupants. The air conditioning unit 3 can change at least one of either temperature or flow volume of the air-conditioned air blasted out of the nozzle for the occupant. The air conditioning control device 2 controls at least one of either temperature or the flow rate of the air-conditioned air blasted out of the nozzle for the occupant for the occupant in the area based on the room temperature every area.
