PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box for containing a pet animal easily changeable between condition in use and contained condition, and also simple in construction. SOLUTION: This box for containing a pet animal has such construction as to have a rectangular parallelopiped shape composed of a bottom wall 2, a ceiling part 3, two sidewalls 4 and 5, a front wall 6 and a rear wall 7 and be foldable along the adjoining ridge lines. In this box, both of the sidewalls 4 and 5 are provided with notches 10, respectively to enable the ridge lines of the sidewalls 4 and 5 facing on each other to be deformable so as to meet them with each other. This box is foldable by applying press force F to the sidewalls 4 and 5 in the direction of crushing them. Owing to the notches 10, an entrance/exit 11 for the pet animal is formed.
