<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lead battery by means of burner method using a comb mold, a metal pad and additional lead in which gaps formed in a welding interface between a strap and a lug can be largely reduced in size. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of a lead-acid storage battery, provided that the length of projected parts of a positive electrode lug and/or a negative electrode lug inserted into slits formed on the comb mold out of the upper surface of the comb is L(mm), the thickness of the positive electrode lug and/or the negative electrode lug is s(mm), this invention is characterized by satisfying the relationships of 0.25≤L/s≤0.75. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
