PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive for read-only hologram medium in which picture information other than data for specific use is recorded in a read-only hologram medium and interest factor is given by reproducing this. SOLUTION: This is a drive 5 for read-only hologram medium reproducing information including picture information recorded in a laminated hologram ROM medium (hereinafter described as a medium), the drive has a optical head 6 by which light is made incident on a desired core layer of the medium 1, a photodetector 7 detecting reproduction light emitted from the medium 1, and a control part 9 controlling drive of the optical head 9 so that picture information relating to information other than the picture information is reproduced first prior to reproduction processing of information other than the picture information when information other than the picture information is reproduced by reproduction light emitted from the medium 1 based on detection output of the photodetector 7.
