PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side mirror with excellent visibility of a vehicle during parking/stopping capable of eliminating a dangerous scene impairing safe driving due to reflection of sunlight in erection of the side mirror during traveling in the daytime. SOLUTION: In the side mirror 10, a base 11 fixed/arranged near a door window frame of the vehicle is sterically formed so as to be continued to a base end 12a of a mirror case 12, a recessed peripheral wall surface 11a of an extended part of the base and a projected peripheral wall surface 12a of the base end of the mirror case 12 are opposed to each other and the mirror case 12 is pivotally supported on a mirror support part 11b extending from the base. A warning display part such as a light reflection body and a light emission body is provided at a position where the mirror case 12 cannot be visually recognized from the outside at a standing position and at a position where the mirror case 12 is exposed at a storage position, that is, on any one surface or all surfaces of the recessed peripheral wall surface 11a of the mirror base extension part, the projected peripheral wall surface 12a of the base end of the mirror case and a vertical surface 11c at the outside of the vehicle body of the mirror support part 11b.
