PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mask frame structure and a color cathode-ray tube wherein deterioration of picture quality due to vibration phenomenon of a screen can be prevented because vibrations of a color sorting mask 6 due to vibrations transmitted from outside are alleviated without changing stiffness or an outline profile of the frame 12, or without changing an extending process or a manufacturing process of the mask frame structure, and wherein alleviating effect of those vibrations is confirmed by test production and adjustment by those results if necessary is easy. SOLUTION: This is obtained because a weight 13 is adhered to the frame 12 to support the color sorting mask 6 in order to arbitrarily change the weight of this frame 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
