PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine effectively massaging the muscle in the upper side of an arm, with little restriction in the position of the arm to be treated and being used by a user in a relaxed manner. SOLUTION: This chair type massage machine is provided with a seat surface 3, a backrest 2, and armrests 4. In this case, the both of the opposed faces of the armrest 4 and a wall 6 provided some interval apart therefrom in the upper part of the armrest 4 are provided with at least single air bags 7, 8 or 9 inflatable/deflatable by pneumatic pressure respectively, the total area or volume of the air bags 8 and 9 provided in the lower face of the upper wall 6 of the armrest 4 is smaller than the total area or the volume of the air bag 7 provided in the upper face of the armrest 4.
