PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for filter, containing a quinophthalone compound excellent in solubility to a solvent and a binder resin and useful for color filter excellent in durability such as transmittance characteristic, heat resistance and light resistance. SOLUTION: This composition for filter comprises (A) a quinophthalone compound of formula I (R1 to R2 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl or an alkoxy; R3 to R10 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, etc.; R11 and R12 are each H or an alkyl; R13 is H, a halogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an alkoxycarbonyl, a cycloalkylaminocarbonyl, etc.) (e.g. a compound of formula II), (B) other dye, (C) a binder polymer, (D) a photopolymerizable polyfunctional monomer, (E) a photoinitiator and (F) other additive, etc. Furthermore, the component A is preferably used in an amount of 1-100 pts.wt., preferably 10-50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. component C. |
