Device for loading and unloading tools into/from the tool magazine of a machine-tool

Two machine tools for performing electro-erosion (1,2) are set side-by-side. They can use a wide variety of tool heads and tool bits which may be stored in the magazine (8). The magazine consists of three columns of shelves (4-6) set side-by-side. The gripper assembly (10) which moves the tool heads from the shelves to the machines runs on a track between the machines and the magazine. A protective safety wall (42) fills the gap between the two electro-erosion machine tools.
