A steel sheet is bent into a U-shaped beam with a web which is narrower than the thickness of the concrete balcony slab. The free end of a first beam arm is bent substantially at right angles away from the second arm to form a flange. The free end of the second arm projecting beyond the first arm is positioned with its inner side in contact with the top side of the slab. The second arm is secured to the top side of the slab and the flange is positioned against and secured to the free vertical side of the slab. |
