The front faces of the two nuts are conjugated. Two main branches protrude in an L shape from a section of the front face of each nut. The vertical surfaces of the main branches of one nut contact the vertical surfaces of the main branches of the other nut. The horizontal surfaces of the main branches of both nuts are separated but are adhered to each other using adhesive. An independent claim is also included for a preloaded double nut.
