PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and low-cost means for ensuring oil filling into an annular slit between a valve shaft and a guide sleeve. SOLUTION: The two-cycle displacement type engine comprises an exhaust port 4 to be controlled by an outlet valve 5 and a valve housing 9 placed on a cylinder head 2, including an exhaust passage 9 and the guide sleeve 10 for a shaft 7 of the outlet valve 5 passing through the exhaust passage 8. Oil can be filled in the annular slit communicated with the exhaust passage 8 defined by a packing device whose end region is located apart from the exhaust passage between the guide face of the guide sleeve 10 and the valve shaft and provided with at least packing ring 22. At the upper part of the packing ring 22 of the packing device facing the exhaust passage 8, an oil reservoir 24, 31, or 36 is provided for filling oil. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
