<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VOC removing and recovering apparatus which has excellent processing efficiency, is an environment-conscious type without discharging carbon dioxide or the like and reduced in running cost, with respect to an apparatus for removing poorly water-soluble or water-insoluble VOC represented by toluene from a large amount of treating air discharged from a plant or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This volatile organic compound removing apparatus for removing the volatile organic compound from the treating air containing the VOC is provided with a gas-liquid contact tub comprising (1) an intake for taking in the treating air, (2) an atomizing and mixing part for atomizing absorption liquid composed of anhydrous polyalkylene glycol having prescribed average molecular weight at high speed and bringing the treating air taken in from the intake, into contact with the absorption liquid, and (3) a discharge port for discharging the treating air which passes through the atomizing and mixing part as discharge air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
