PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment, whose communication performance with an antenna arranged in the vicinity of a common electrode is enhanced while having an image display apparatus of an active matrix driving system. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment is provided with a TN type liquid crystal display apparatus of an active matrix driving system. The liquid crystal display apparatus comprises an element substrate 12; a plurality of pixel electrodes 40 arrayed on the element substrate 12; a planar common electrode 54 formed of a conductor and commonly facing the plurality of pixel electrodes 40; and a liquid crystal layer 56 arranged between the pixel electrodes 40 and the common electrode 54. The electronic device is further provided with a loop-shaped antenna, arranged around the common electrode 54 seen from a direction perpendicular to the element substrate 12. The common electrode 54 is locally provided with a non-conductive part 50, extending in the whole thickness direction of the common electrode 54 so as to allow transmission of a magnetic flux for mediating communication by the antenna.
