PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle transfer type display device with which a bright display with proper visibility is obtained. SOLUTION: In the particle transfer type display device 100, absorption of scattered light is suppressed, by disposing a scattering layer 108A with a high scattering property on a center part of a pixel and a scattering layer 108B with a scattering property lower than that of the scattering layer 108A on a peripheral part thereof in the vicinity of a partition wall 103 on a first substrate 101.
