PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber bundle which suppresses its light intensity loss. SOLUTION: By melting the optical fibers 2 together into one body, and melting the optical fiber 2 and the quartz tube 6 together into one body to make the refractive index of the quartz tube 6 smaller than the clad 4, the leakage of the light (loss) from the clad of the quartz tube 6 can be suppressed even when the boundaries of the core 3 and the clad 4 are lost when melting the fiber bundle 1 into one body or the refractive indexes become ambiguous by the diffusing dopants.
