The invention relates to a machine for machining workpieces, said machine comprising a machining tool (6) and a lifting drive (5) by which means a workpiece can be acted on by the machining tool (6). The lifting drive (5) comprises a spindle drive (13) provided with two drive units (14, 15). Said drive units are arranged along a common spindle drive axis (31) and respectively comprise a spindle drive element (16, 18) located close to the workpiece and a spindle drive element (17, 19) at a distance from the workpiece. A common force introduction element (29) is provided in the direction of the spindle drive axis (31), between thread catches (20, 21) of the spindle drive element (16, 18) located close to the workpiece and the associated spindle drive element (17, 19) at a distance from the workpiece, pertaining to the two drive units (14, 15). A force generated by the machining tool (6) as a result of the action on the workpiece is distributed between the drive units (14, 15) by means of the common force introduction element (29). |
