PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic document browsing device which improves the security level of an electronic document related to browsing without disturbing a user's browsing operation of the electronic document, and a control method thereof. SOLUTION: After the electronic document is displayed (step S303), an operator side is imaged (step S305). Then the face area of a person is extracted from an obtained picked-up image (step S306) and the electronic document which is displayed is concealed (step S308) according to the number of extracted face areas (step S307).
