PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the voltage drop that occurs at both ends of a signal line. SOLUTION: The active matrix type liquid crystal display device is provided with a pixel electrode 15 via a gate insulating film on the signal line 2. In such a case, the device is so configured that the width of the signal line 2 is made the same as the size in the same direction of the pixel electrode 15.
