PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance not only inter-axis dimension accuracy of a driving gear and a driven gear but also engagement accuracy by enhancing installation accuracy of a first gear housing and a second housing in an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device 10, the gear housing 11 has the first gear housing 11A and the second gear housing 11B; a driven gear 36 is supported on the first gear housing 11A; a driving gear 22 is supported on the second gear housing 11B; and to an engagement hole 41 provided on one of the first gear housing 11A and the second gear housing 11B a fitting part 42 provided on the other thereof is fitted.
