<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely designate overlapping composition related to a plurality of windows wherein applications overlap each other without depending on Z order set to each the window, without increasing a processing load on the application side. <P>SOLUTION: A Z order information analysis part 24 for analyzing overlapping order information in an arbitrary area of each the window sent from the application 11 is provided in a window system 12. In a state where the plurality of windows overlap each other inside one screen, the application notifies the window system of information showing correspondence relation between a selection area selected inside an area wherein the plurality of windows overlap each other and one window among the plurality of windows to be displayed on the screen in the selection area.
