PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet brake device capable of minimizing noise when adding braking force. SOLUTION: This wet braking device has a friction plate group including a rotatable friction plate rotating in response to rotation of a rotary shaft arranged in a housing, and an irrotationable friction plate opposed to the rotatable friction plate and made irrotationable; and is constituted to add the braking force to the rotary shaft by frictionally contacting with each other by pressing the friction plate group toward a stopping member arranged in the housing.
