<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disply a high-quality image by reducing a sense of afterimage in an electrooptic device. <P>SOLUTION: This drive circuit has a scanning line drive circuit to supply scanning signals alternately to the small areas obtained by dividing the image display area and also sequentially to the scanning lines in these small areas, and an image signal supply circuit to supply image signals and black signals to the two pairs of the small areas out of those small areas, in a way supplying image signals to the pixels of one pair to display images through the sampling supply switch and the data line, and supplying black signals in the polarity different from the image signals to the pixels in the other pair to display black images through the black signal supply switch and the data line within one vertical scanning period, and further, supplying those image signals and black signals by interchanging two small areas with each other in a predetermined cycle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
