INFORMATION RECORDER AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder for recording the TS of digital broadcast by reducing the volume of data of TS without using a voice decoder. SOLUTION: A demultiplexer section 1 separates the TS of inputted digital broadcast into video information and audio information. A video decoder 2 decodes the video information separated at the demultiplexer section 1 to provide a video signal. An encoder 4 encodes the video signal decoded by the video decoder 2. A buffer 6 stores the audio information separated at the demultiplexer section 1. A remultiplex section 5 multiplexes the video information encoded by the encoder 4 and the audio information stored in the budder 6.
