INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMATION ASSESSMENT TOOLS

Disclosed are assessment tools and related methods for analyzing potenti al transformations to a business' IT capabilities. In particular, a tool for scoping the potential opportunity incorporating a top-down approach and using previous credentials to make accurate estimations is disclosed. Additionally, a shaping tool employs a bottom-up approach to the assessment based upon more highly-detailed information of th e structure of the IT department. Each tool also automatically calculates typical indices f or evaluation of the business case of the IT transformation. Optionally, the tools are integrated, and also can automatically generate a business case presentation or a detailed analysis o f all data involved in the assessment.
