PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric arc welding machine for efficiently performing pulse welding with electric current flowing between an advancing electrode and a workpiece. SOLUTION: The welding machine is provided with a short circuit detection circuit, which issues a short circuiting signal immediately when short circuit occurrs between the advancing electrode and the workpiece, and a boost circuit, which generates plasma boost pulse after the short circuit is removed while a peak pulse current is not output.
