The wheel (1), for especially a pushchair, has at least one means of lighting (7) which is a LED. A battery (11) or other form of current accumulator is provided on the wheel as a power supply for the lighting. The means of lighting are provided with a switch (12). The wheel may have a movement sensor (8) or a lux sensor connected to the means of lighting. The means of lighting may be installed on the tire (3) and/or on the wheel rim (2).
