The supply comprises a current loop including a diode to which a forward current is supplied on or before outputting a voltage for causing an electric discharge. A reverse recovery current is output to the gap between an electrode and a workpiece by interrupting the supply of the forward current to the diode the moment that the electric discharge is caused.
