PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for an engine solving manufacturing problems, in particular undercut etc. and realizing excellent cooling performance. SOLUTION: In a cylinder block integral type crankcase 12 of a parallel multi-cylinder engine mounted so as to be tilted forwardly, a cooling water communication passage 78 extending in the cylinder row direction is provided. Cooling water is supplied from the cooling water communication passage 78 to a water jacket 34. The cooling water communication passage 78 is adjacently arranged below the water jacket 34 in the rear side of the cylinder row. A water pump 65 is provided on a crankcase side wall positioned rearward from a crankshaft 27. Downstream side cooling water piping 77 for passing cooling water discharged from the water pump 65 is connected with an intermediate part of the cooling water communication passage 78.
