<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a resin film such as a cellulose ester or norbornene resin film, which is suitable as a protective film for the polarizing plate of a liquid crystal display device (LCD), capable of reducing an equipment cost, capable of achieving the ensurance of necessary physical properties of the resin film and hard to cause winding trouble such as blocking or the like especially even at the time of preservation of a wide wound film under a high temperature/high humidity condition, the polarizing plate of good quality manufactured using the resin film and a liquid crystal display device manufactured using the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: In a solution casting film forming method or a melt casting film forming method, knurling processing is applied to the end part of the base of the cellulose ester or norbornene resin film peeled from a support to manufacture the resin film with a final film thickness of 30-125 μm, a film thickness deviation in an arbitrary width direction of 1.8 μm or below and a squeak value of 0.4-1.4. The knurling height measuring average value at ten points on the arbitrary longitudinal direction spaced apart from each other at least by 10 mm of the resin film is set to 5-15 μm, the knurling height measuring minimum value thereof is set to 1 μm or above, the knurling height measuring maximum value thereof is set to 20 μm or below and the knurling height measuring value deviation thereof is set to 1-10 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
