PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is difficult to make the dimension of a camera in a height direction small because of the restriction of the arrangement of a solenoid, which becomes motive power and a locking means is positionally arranged only near the center of rotation of the stroboscopic unit in providing the automatic pop-up constitution of a stroboscopic device, so that the gap between a stroboscopic unit and an external part is uneven in the vicinity of the edge of the stroboscope unit, and a gap-adjusting mechanism must be added separately. SOLUTION: The locking member for locking a light-emitting unit at a housing position is arranged more upward than a lens mount and more forward in the optical axis direction than a pentagonal part as seen from the front of the camera, and the solenoid for driving the locking member is arranged so that its center shaft is farther backward in the optical axis direction than a mount part, arranged so that a lens can be attached/detached in the vertical directions of the camera, and a rotatable driving force transmitting member is arranged more backward in the optical axis direction than the mounting part, and its rotary shaft is arranged in the optical axis direction, and its one end is engaged with the output shaft of the solenoid and the other end is engaged with the locking member.
