PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact forced air-cooled engine with high quietness by effectively reducing radiation sound and blowing noise from a crankcase and a cylinder part. SOLUTION: The forced air-cooled engine has a cylinder part 3 projected from a crankcase 2 to one side, and a fuel tank T disposed above the crankcase 2. An exhaust muffler M is arranged above the cylinder part 3 side-by-side with the fuel tank T. A shroud 10 has: a scroll part 11 surrounding a cooling fan 9; a synthetic resin shroud upper part 15 extended between the crankcase 2 and the fuel tank T; and a synthetic resin air guide duct part 25 continuous to a discharge port 11b of the scroll part 11, and surrounding an entire circumference of the cylinder part 3.
