PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid or semi-solid skin care preparation for external use improved in the preparation stability of an esterified steroid. SOLUTION: This liquid or semi-solid skin care preparation is obtained by containing one or more substances selected from the group consisting of lidocaine, dibucaine, benzocaine, procaine, meprylcaine and mepivacaine, one or more substances selected from the group consisting of starch, crystalline cellulose and polyvinylpyrrolidone, and the esterified steroid. Another version of this skin care preparation further improved in the preparation stability is obtained by incorporating the above skin care preparation with a chelating agent or oily base.
