PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for a medical dermal patch, comprising an acrylate polymer and having a lowβ-hydroxypropionic acid (salt) content and having stable shape retention, pressure-sensitive adhesiveness, and promotion of percutaneous medicine absorption. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive for the medical dermal patch comprises an acrylate polymer comprising structural units derived from (1) an acrylate (ammonium salt or alkali metal salt) monomer, (2) an acrylic acid monomer, and (3) an unsaturated monomer other than (1) and (2) and containing the acrylate monomer units (1) in an amount of at least 5 mol%, theβ-hydroxypropionic acid (salt) content being at most 5,000 ppm based on the polymer solids. The method for producing the same and the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive, an aluminum compound, and water are also provided.
