摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and lightweight lighting system capable of supplying light from a point light source to an electro-optic panel without loss; to provide an electro-optic device; and to provide an electronic apparatus using the electro-optic device. <P>SOLUTION: Since a light guide plate 34 of a liquid crystal device 1 is integrally provided with a light reception part 42 for receiving light from the point light source 33, and a body part 43 having a surface for emitting the light from the light reception part 42 and a surface for reflecting it, and the light reception part 42 is so formed as to be narrowed down by a first inclined surface 44 continued to the emitting surface 47 and a second inclined surface 45 continued to the reflecting surface 48, the thickness of the body part 43 can be reduced as compared with the thickness on the point light source side of the light reception part 42. As a result, when an optical sheet, for instance, a prism sheet 35 or the like is disposed in the thickness-reduced part, the thickness of the liquid crystal device 1 can be reduced by the portion of the optical sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
