<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail communication system which makes an electronic mail communication wirelessly every electronic data between an information terminal and a data repeater according to the type, etc. of electronic data in electronic mail data, and transmits/receives the electronic data at a low power consumption in the information terminal. <P>SOLUTION: Upon receipt of text data (S22), a communication controller 10 decides whether related information is added to the text data (S23). If no related information is added, it stops a process of detecting LAN radio waves to a radio LAN communication network 32a (S27).
