<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recognize a plurality of subjects contained in images taken, while taking the relationships among the subjects into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: During a process for sequentially designating a plurality of persons contained in images taken with a camera device 7 while personal attributes (personal relationships) are stored and managed in a person database in association with registered images, a CPU 1 of a camera mobile phone narrows down the range of comparisons when designating and recognizing a certain person, by preferentially selecting as references the registered images having the same attributes as the attributes that correspond to that person.
