PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of obtaining a superior image by correcting the difference in the sensitivities that depend on the location inside an image. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 20 includes an imaging means provided with a solid-state imaging element 1 of a structure comprising high-sensitivity photodiodes and low sensitivity photodiodes; a signal processing means 22 for processing a signal outputted from the solid-state imaging element 1; and a storage means 23 for storing sensitivity characteristics value at each of a plurality of positions of an image formed by the solid-state imaging element 1, in advance, and when the signal processing means 22 processes the signal outputted from the solid-state imaging element 1, the signal processing means 22 reads the characteristic values stored in the storage means 23 and carries out signal processing arithmetic operations by using the characteristic values.
