PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide machine-glazed paper having moderate smoothness of its reverse face and having printability similar to unglazed paper. SOLUTION: The machine-glazed paper is≥20% in surface gloss(in compliance with JIS P 8142),≤10% in reverse face gloss(in compliance with JIS P 8142), and 12-50 s in reverse face Bekk smoothness(in compliance with JIS P 8119). The machine-glazed paper is obtained by using a roll(a touch roll 4) in place of Yankee felt in subjecting wet paper 3 to pressure contact with a Yankee dryer 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
