<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic material in which carbon nanofibers are uniformly dispersed, and its production method, and to provide a carbon fiber-compounded metallic material and its production method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the metallic material in which the carbon nanofibers 40 are dispersed around metallic grains 50 comprises: a step (a) wherein elastomers 30 having an unsaturated bond or group having affinity for the carbon nanofibers 40, the metallic grains 50, and the carbon nanofibers 40 are mixed, and are dispersed by shearing force to obtain a carbon fiber-compounded material; and a step (b) wherein the carbon fiber-compounded material is heat-treated to vaporize the elastomers 30 contained in the carbon fiber-compounded material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
