<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power efficiency and heat efficiency, to facilitate operation control of a device and to make a device compact for a whole device in the device for separating hydrogen from the hydrogen-containing gas obtained by the reforming reaction of hydrocarbon by a separation membrane and removing carbon monoxide by a catalytic reaction. <P>SOLUTION: In a high purity hydrogen producing device provided with at least a steam reforming device for forming the hydrogen-containing gas by bringing a raw material obtained by mixing a hydrocarbon and steam into contact with a reforming catalyst, a hydrogen separation membrane device for separating and recovering the hydrogen in the formed hydrogen-containing gas by separating with the separation membrane and a carbon monoxide removing device for removing the carbon monoxide in the hydrogen by bringing the recovered hydrogen into contact with the catalyst, a heat exchange type reactor is used as the carbon monoxide removing device, and one side passage is used as a flowing passage of the hydrogen recovered at the hydrogen producing device by packing a carbon monoxide conversion catalyst, and the other side passage is used as a pure water flowing passage, and a passage for supplying a superheated water formed from a pure water heated by changing heat with the hydrogen as a process water for steam at the steam reforming device is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
