PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk access control method comprising a disk storage device automatically performing production of a replicated volume and a changeover of an access destination inside a system by previously setting a condition becoming a production opportunity of the replicated volume when a plurality of accesses to the same volume frequently occur, and a program performing an accessing process. SOLUTION: An upper limit value of an access frequency per unit time of the prescribed volume is set. The access frequency per unit time is always monitored, and a replica of the prescribed volume is produced when the access frequency per unit time exceeds the set upper limit value. After the replicated volume production, an access path is changed over such that a program newly accessing the replication source volume accesses the volume after the replication, and disk access is controlled.
