PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trap rod device which enables locking to be suitably carried out with a cylinder lock specifically in a biparting gate device by disabling operation from outside. SOLUTION: The trap rod device 20 has a storing frame 21 arranged along side surfaces 5A, 5B on the turning side of gate bodies 2A, 2B, a trap rod 26 which is vertically movable with respect to the storing frame 21, a positioning member 27 arranged to pass through a through hole 26a which crosses the trap rod 26, upper and lower holding members 29, 30 with which a top part 27c of the positioning member 27 is engaged, and a coil spring 28 installed between the trap rod 26 and the top part 27a. Engagement and disengagement between the positioning member 27 and the upper holding member 29 or the lower holding member 30 is carried out by moving the positioning member 27 in the direction along front parts 3A, 3B of the gate bodies 2A, 2B.
